I used to enjoy watching the cormorants dry their wings on the pilings looking over to the Seattle skyline. The cormorants' diet includes salmon and they are chased away, possibly shot, in order to better maintain the salmon population. I rarely see the birds here any more. This is a landscape version; there is another portrait version.
