Description
Scott Monument was built in the mid 19th century in the Victorian Gothic architectural style, and is an unmissable landmark situated in Edinburgh's Princes Street Gardens. A tribute to Scottish author Sir Walter Scott and soaring to a height of just a little over 200ft (61 meters), this striking monument gives unrivaled panoramic views over the city, including Edinburgh Castle, perched hill on the hill. First opened to the public in 1846, this famous landmark welcomes visitors from all over the world and invites anyone willing, to climb the 287 steps to the top and enjoy a fabulous view of 'Auld Reekie'. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph in black and white.
