After spending time in Asheville with friends I hadn't seen in twenty years, I decided to book it up north along the Appalachians. When in Rome ... go on a major road-trip. Anyway. somewhere along the NC / VA border I was chasing down a classic location and, as has happened so often before, I stopped and turned around. I found a nice quiet eddy in the Linville River beautifully reflecting fall happening around it. Shot and flipped and there I go looking like I know how to paint.
